
Mike Callahan

A native of Thibodaux, Louisiana, Mike Callahan received a degreein Finance from Nicholls State University. In 1993, Mike servedas General manager of Key Medical, a Louisiana based medicalequipment company. He joined the Custom Healthcare group inJune of 2001 as the General Manager, and was elected Presidentof the Corporation in January of 2011.
When he joined Custom Healthcare, the company was doingComplex Rehab, DME and respiratory. But Mike quickly realizedthat, in order to be a great company, they needed to focus on onefacet of the industry. He has never looked back on his decision tospecialize in Complex Rehab, saying, “There is not a better feelingin the world than helping give a person their mobility, or the smile ona child’s face when they are happy. All of the people we come intocontact with are dealing with some type disability, and to be able tohelp improve their quality of life is just awesome. We help peopleget back to work, spend time with their kids and family, and move onwith their lives.”
Mike still resides in Thibodaux with his wife, Susan, and twochildren, Lori Ann and Christopher.
James Hartman
Vice President of Business Development and Partner
James is a native of Beaumont, Texas. After attending college atLamar University and working on a degree in Pre-Med, JamesHartman left college to start his professional career, going to workfor Taylor Home Health, a DME company, at the age of 18 startingin the file room. When he was 21, he was transferred to NewOrleans to run that location, growing it from $800,000 in sales to$2.5 million in sales annually.
In 1994, James moved to Mobile, Alabama, to open a complexrehab division of STAT Medical, which at that time was only a DMEcompany. A year later, at the age of 23, James started Gulf CoastRehab and ran the company until 2000 when he sold it to ATG
Rehab. After resigning from the company in 2005, he purchasedback his portion of the company and then partnered with the currentinvestment group. The company has grown from $6 million in salesin 2006 to $19 million in sales in 2011.
James resides in Spanish Fort, Alabama with his wife, Tracy, andtheir son, Ty.
